Common causes of "Kling AI not working"

If Prismix shows Kling AI as "Operational" but you're having issues:

  • Video generation stuck in queue — Kling processes video jobs asynchronously on GPU clusters. During peak hours, the queue can back up significantly and jobs may sit pending for 10–30 minutes. The Kling dashboard shows queue position; there is no way to expedite a queued job, but subscribing to a higher-tier plan grants priority queue access.
  • Image-to-video aspect ratio mismatch — Kling's image-to-video feature requires the input image to match the output aspect ratio (e.g. 16:9, 9:16, or 1:1). Uploading an image with a non-standard ratio causes the generation to either fail or silently crop the image in unexpected ways. Pre-resize your input image to the exact target dimensions before uploading.
  • Credit deducted without video output — If a generation job fails mid-render (GPU error, content policy rejection, or timeout), Kling may still deduct credits even though no video was delivered. Check your generation history in the dashboard for the failed job and submit a refund request through Kling's support portal with the job ID.
  • Camera motion not applied to output — Camera motion presets (pan, zoom, tilt) are applied at the model inference level and require the subject to have sufficient spatial depth in the reference image. Flat or minimally textured source images (solid backgrounds, 2D illustrations) produce outputs where camera motion appears absent even when the setting is enabled.
  • CAPTCHA or access block for non-Chinese IP addresses — Kling AI is operated by Kuaishou Technology and its infrastructure is primarily optimized for Chinese users. International IP addresses sometimes trigger CAPTCHA challenges or access-rate restrictions, particularly on the web interface. Using a VPN or accessing via the official API (for developers) typically bypasses these restrictions.
  • 1080p render timeout — High-resolution 1080p video generation takes significantly longer than 720p or 480p. Very long clips (10 seconds at 1080p) can exceed Kling's internal render timeout, resulting in a failed job. If you consistently see 1080p failures, try 720p first to confirm the prompt works, then switch resolution for the final render.
