What's Wrong? Diagnose Fast
Song stuck generating forever
High queue load during peak hours. Wait 5 minutes. If still stuck, cancel — credits are usually refunded automatically.
Credits showing 0 unexpectedly
Free tier: 50 credits/day (resets midnight UTC). Each song = 5 credits. Check suno.com/account. Stuck generations may look like spent credits but refund within minutes.
Prompt blocked by moderation
Remove real artist names, copyrighted song titles, or explicit content from your prompt. Use Custom mode to write your own lyrics for more control.

Suno Credit System
| Plan | Credits | Songs/period | Cost |

| Pro | 2,500/mo | 500 songs/mo | $10/mo |
| Premier | 10,000/mo | 2,000 songs/mo | $30/mo |
Each song generation costs 5 credits. Free credits reset at midnight UTC daily; paid credits renew on your billing date.
Step-by-Step Fix
- 1
Check live Suno status
Visit prismix.dev/service/suno. If there's an active outage, wait for resolution — Suno doesn't have its own status page so this is the most reliable signal.
- 2
Check your credit balance
Go to suno.com → account icon → credits. Free tier resets midnight UTC daily. If you're a Pro/Premier user and credits look wrong, try hard-refreshing (Ctrl+Shift+R) — the counter can lag the actual balance.
- 3
Cancel stuck generations
If a song is stuck for more than 5 minutes, click the "✕" to cancel. Credits are refunded automatically. Peak hours (US evenings, weekends) have the longest queues — try again in 10 minutes.
- 4
Simplify your prompt
Overly long style descriptions (200+ characters) or conflicting genre instructions cause timeouts. Keep style prompts under 120 characters. Remove specific artist names — use descriptive terms instead (e.g. "indie rock with jangly guitars" instead of "The Strokes style").
- 5
Clear browser data or switch browsers
Clear site data specifically for suno.com (not global browser cache). Try Chrome if you're on Firefox, or vice versa. Suno requires Web Audio API support — older browsers or some privacy-focused configs block it.
Prompt Tips to Avoid Generation Failures
Do: "upbeat indie pop, catchy chorus, acoustic guitar, clapping"
Don't: "Sound exactly like Taylor Swift's Shake It Off with Ed Sheeran vocals"
Do: Use Custom mode to write your own lyrics — gives more control and avoids AI lyric moderation
Don't: Put explicit content or violence in lyrics — even as fiction, the moderation filter is strict

Why is Suno not working?
Most common causes: platform outage (check prismix.dev/service/suno), credits exhausted (50/day free, resets midnight UTC), prompt flagged by moderation, or high queue load during peak hours causing silent generation failures.
Is Suno down right now?
Check prismix.dev/service/suno — updated every 5 minutes. Suno has no official status page, so Prismix is your best external signal for outages.
Suno song stuck generating — how long should I wait?
Normal generation: 30-60 seconds. Peak hours: up to 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, cancel the stuck generation — credits are refunded automatically. Try again with a simpler prompt.
My Suno credits are not refreshing — why?
Free credits reset at midnight UTC (not your local midnight). Pro credits renew on your billing date. If the counter looks wrong, hard-refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R) — the display can lag the actual balance by a few minutes.
Suno blocked my prompt — what to do?
Remove specific artist or song names, any explicit content, and references to real people. Try describing the sound with adjectives instead of names. Use Custom mode to write your own lyrics for more control.
