Is You.com Down?

If Prismix shows You.com as "Operational" but you're having issues:

• YouCode not generating complete code outputs — YouCode truncates responses when the generated code exceeds the context window for the underlying model. Break your request into smaller units (e.g., one function at a time) or use the "Continue" button to extend partial outputs. Long files over 200 lines are especially prone to truncation.
• Smart mode returning stale results instead of real-time — Smart mode fetches live web sources, but result freshness depends on You.com's crawler recency. If you need information from the past 24 hours, add time qualifiers to your query (e.g., "today", "this week") to bias the retrieval toward recent sources. Corporate network proxies that cache DNS can also serve stale results.
• Search sources unavailable in your region — certain web sources (news outlets, paywalled sites) are geo-restricted and may not be crawlable from You.com's infrastructure in your region. Use the Sources filter in search settings to toggle specific domains; some sources may show 0 results for region-blocked content.
• AI mode unexpectedly switching to basic search — You.com falls back to basic web search when the AI model tier is rate-limited or the query triggers a safety classifier. Signing in to a Pro account reduces fallback frequency. If you're signed in and still getting basic results, clear browser cookies for you.com and re-authenticate.
• Browser extension conflict with other search extensions — You.com's browser extension can conflict with other search-override extensions (Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo extensions, or privacy tools like uBlock Origin in strict mode). Disable competing search extensions and check that You.com is set as the default search engine in your browser settings.
• API authentication failing despite a valid key — You.com's developer API uses a separate key from the consumer account. Keys generated in the developer portal at api.you.com must be passed in the X-API-Key header. Bearer token format used by the consumer app will return 401.
