Cascade panel not responding
Check your 5 free flow limit (free tier). Sign out and back in. Close and reopen Cascade from View menu. Check status.codeium.com for incidents.
Completions not appearing
Check the status bar icon color. Disable conflicting extensions (GitHub Copilot, Tabnine). Try Command Palette → "Windsurf: Enable Completions".
Connection/auth error
Session token expired. Command Palette → "Windsurf: Sign Out" → "Windsurf: Sign In". This refreshes the auth token and usually fixes connection drops.
Corporate firewall blocking
Windsurf requires *.codeium.com on port 443. Ask IT to allowlist windsurf.codeium.com and api.codeium.com. Some VPNs also block the connection.

Sign out and back in
Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P) → "Windsurf: Sign Out" → "Windsurf: Sign In". This refreshes your auth token and resolves most persistent connection issues.

Check Cascade credit limit
Free tier: 5 Cascade flows/month. Go to codeium.com/account or Windsurf → Account to see remaining flows. If exhausted, inline completions still work — only Cascade requires Pro after the free quota.

Disable conflicting extensions
If you have GitHub Copilot or Tabnine installed, they can intercept inline completions before Windsurf. Disable them in the Extensions panel and restart Windsurf.

Check firewall and VPN
Windsurf requires outbound HTTPS (port 443) to *.codeium.com. Check if your corporate proxy, VPN, or firewall blocks these domains. Try disabling VPN temporarily to test.
