Common causes of "OpenArt AI not working"
If Prismix shows OpenArt AI as "Operational" but you're having issues:
- ControlNet pose not matching reference image — ControlNet preprocessing (OpenPose, Canny, depth) must be enabled explicitly in the generation settings. If the pose extractor fails to detect a body, the model ignores the control image and generates freely. Ensure the reference image has a clearly visible human figure and try reducing ControlNet conditioning scale to 0.7–0.9.
- Custom model training stuck in queue — DreamBooth and fine-tuning jobs are queued behind GPU availability. During high demand, jobs can wait over an hour. Check the Training tab in your dashboard for queue position; jobs do not expire but can be cancelled and resubmitted if stuck longer than 2 hours.
- Negative prompt being ignored — negative prompts work at the model level and some fine-tuned community models have them baked into their embeddings. If your negative prompt isn't reducing unwanted elements, increase the negative guidance scale (CFG negative) or add the tokens to an embedded negative textual inversion like
easynegative. - NSFW filter false positive on non-explicit content — OpenArt's safety classifier can trigger on artistic nudity, medical illustrations, or culturally specific clothing. If your content is non-explicit, try rephrasing the prompt to remove ambiguous terms and disable the "Strict" safety mode if your account tier allows it.
- Credit deducted but no image output — generation failures during backend errors may still consume credits. Check your generation history — failed jobs show a red status. Contact OpenArt support with the generation ID shown in the history; they typically refund credits for server-side failures within 48 hours.
- Image upscaler producing artifacts or blurring — the AI upscaler works best on images generated at 512×512 or 768×768. Upscaling already-upscaled images compounds artifacts. Use the Real-ESRGAN upscaler for photos and the 4x-UltraSharp model for illustrations; avoid upscaling more than 4x in a single pass.
