NeurIPS decisions tomorrow. Try not to break your F5 key. [R]

Hey everyone,

Since the final decision drop is tomorrow, I figured I’d throw a quick sanity check out into the sub 😄.

Honestly, just congrats on getting your stuff across the finish line 🎉 . Between the absolute nightmare of the submission deadline, fixing broken code at 3 AM, and playing the waiting game all summer, it’s just nice to be done with it.

We all know the OpenReview lottery is a complete mess. We’ve all dealt with the borderline score coin-flips, the reviewer who clearly didn't read past page 3, and the meta-reviews chaos 😂😂.

If you get the accept tomorrow, Awesome. Go celebrate, get some actual sleep, and enjoy the win. You definitely earned it.

If it’s a reject, It’s going to suck, and it’s totally fine to be pissed off for a bit. But seriously, don’t let a couple of overworked, stressed-out reviewers make you doubt your work. The system is completely overloaded and the variance is just stupidly high.

The only upside? The ICLR deadline is literally right around the corner. You just take the feedback, patch the bugs, fix the text, and flip it to the next venue immediately.

Whatever shows up on the dashboard tomorrow, try not to sweat it too much.
