we're a small lab (switzerland + south africa) and just open-sourced our first model: a 27b fine-tune of qwen3.8-27b specialized for creative writing and short-form personal text (stories, dialogue, roleplay, texts, emails).

apache-2.0, plain weights on huggingface, 54.7 gb bf16, vllm-compatible, mtp layer included.

results: eq-bench 4 1330. on our internal writing benchmarks (blind pairwise, both presentation orders, judged by a model that was not one of the competitors) it comes first on communicationbench (1026) and human-likeness (1032) against the frontier models we tested. the method has the usual caveats of llm-judged benches and they're ours, so treat it accordingly.

it is deliberately a specialist: math, code and factual recall are unchanged from the base model. try it out at hemmingway.io the weights are at huggingface.co/Altworld/Hemmingway-1 happy to answer anything!
