Seeking RA position in the US (Causal/Robust ML) [R]

I never thought it’d come to this, but here we are.

I’m a Master’s graduate in the US with solid research experience, and I’m currently looking for an RA/research position. I need to maintain my visa status, so I’m trying to find something ASAP.

I haven’t been getting many interviews through the usual job applications, so I figured I’d try asking here.

I’d be genuinely happy to work as an RA for a lab/group doing Causal ML, Robust ML, RL, or adjacent areas. I’m also open to LLM work. I’m probably not the most experienced person in LLMs specifically, but I’m a quick learner and have a strong ML/research background.

I also have my own research ideas that I’d love to work on. In particular, I’m hoping to develop a penultimate version of my current line of work by unifying my conference papers into a JMLR submission.

Ideally, I’d be looking for a 1-year research/RA contract, if possible.

If you’re a PI, researcher, or know of a lab that might be looking for someone with this background, I’d really appreciate a DM. I’m happy to send my CV, papers, GitHub, etc.

p.s. I'm flexible on the arrangement and would be happy to work ~20 hrs/week, including at minimum wage, if that's what works for the lab. Would have been happy staying with my current advisor, but there isn't funding available which is a visa requirement.
