Sriram Krishnan, a top AI policy advisor in the Trump administration, plans to leave his position at the end of June, according to a person with direct knowledge of the move and a statement viewed by The Information.

Krishnan has discussed starting a policy institution following his time in the White House, according to two people familiar with the matter. It will be staffed with engineers that will support the Trump administration on the White House’s AI plans, said one of the people. A spokesperson for the White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
